WESTLANE COMMUNITY GARDEN

Westlane Secondary School hosts 40 accessible community garden beds, various fruit trees, pollinator gardens and a mobile kitchen.  These gardens complement their 2,000 square foot greenhouse located at the school, where students learn about horticulture, plant cultivating and diversity and food banks.  Plots are for neighbourhood families and growing for ProjectSHARE’s food bank.  

This outdoor learning centre was create through a partnership between the City of Niagara Falls, DSBN, Project SHARE and Links for Greener Learning, funded by the Healthy Kids Community Challenge Niagara, TD Friends of the Environment and DSBN.
