VOLUNTEER IN COMMUNITY GARDENS

Community gardens have so many social, environmental, economic and educational benefits for the neighbourhoods in which they grow.

As most gardens are organized and coordinated by volunteer residents and not-for-profit organizations, your help can go such a long way!

Volunteers are so important as they bring energy, enthusiasm and knowledge to support the long-term success of gardens.

There are opportunities for everyone: whether you are an individual or a group, a beginner or experienced gardener, or whether you’re looking for a one-time or ongoing experience.

  • Learn skills in organic gardening
  • Meet and build relationships with others in the community
  • Contribute your knowledge, assets and skills
  • Experience volunteering with a nonprofit organization
